Counselling & Art Therapy
Talk-based therapy and art therapy are two different—but equally powerful—paths for healing trauma, including religious trauma and harm from coercive or high-control groups.
Talk therapy uses conversation to explore thoughts, emotions, and experiences, helping people make sense of their story. Art therapy adds creative expression, allowing feelings and memories to be processed in ways that don’t rely only on words.
Both approaches can integrate models like Inner Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, offering flexible, trauma-informed support tailored to each person’s needs.
